Vision of CRSGIS:

• Centre for Research in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (CRRSGIS) aims to be a leading center in giving solutions for real time problems by implementing remote sensing techniques and geospatial applications.

Mission of CRSGIS:

• To develop products / apps for GIS platform through mobile/web GIS
• To execute consultancy projects such as mapping and analysis of the geographic data emphasizing on the application of remote sensing and Geographic Information System
• To carry out collaborative research with eminent academic institutions / R&D of Industry around the globe in the field of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System
• To execute various funded projects in collaboration with sponsored agencies like DST, NRDMS, MoEF etc. in geospatial applications
• To create awareness among public / society about the importance of GIS by conducting events like mapathon contest, training to students/faculty, workshops etc
• To provide summer internship to students and to guide students projects in the specialization of remote sensing and GIS
