  • CIIC provide intensive and time-limited business support for cohorts of startups, aiming to get them ready for investment more quickly than traditional incubators.
  • CIIC support early-stage, growth-driven companies through education, mentorship, and financing. Startups enter CIIC for a fixed-period of time, and as part of a cohort. MeitY SAMRIDH accelerator program:

  • In order to promote and empower startup ventures and boost entrepreneurship, economic growth, and employment across the country the government ministry of electronics and information technology launched a programme Start-up Accelerators of MeitY for product Innovation, Development and growth (SAMRIDH)” by MeitY startup Hub (MSH) which aims to boost start-up ecosystem in country.
  • SAMRIDH scheme will pick up startups that are ready for acceleration stage and will provide them with funding support, mentorship and a lot of other support that is required by startups at this stage.
  • The scheme will provide support to selected startups with equity funding upto Rs. 80 lakhs [maximum 40 lakhs from Meity and Rs 40 lakhs and above from a co-investor].
  • CIIC is commended to nurture Five startups who are into electronics product development and manufacturing through this scheme.

  • Your entity must be registered in India as a Private Limited Company.
  • Yours must be a technology-based startup, preferably registered with DPIIT, Government of India.

Program Timeline:

  • Application Launch - Online application.
  • Executive review - A series of interviews with the accelerator’s core team and external experts to reduce the selection to between 10 - 12 teams for final selection.
  • Pitching and shortlisting - trial-run their pitch. Applicants are shortlisted down to 6 candidates by the selection committee, which is made up of the accelerator’s core team, representatives of investors, alumni and mentors.
  • Bootcamp - cohort starts with workshops, pitch, practice & one-on-one consultation.
  • Demo day - Ventures graduate and pitch their unique ideas in front of qualified investors.
  • Post–programme support - Constant communications, alumni events, fundraising/ marketing campaigns, etc.
  • We have designed a 12-week virtual program. It’s designed to bring the best of products, people, networks, and technology to the startups from the most innovative and impactful programs.
  • In addition to mentorship and project support on technical subjects, CIIC will focus on product design, customer acquisition, leadership development, expert-led circular economy deep dives, workshops, cutting-edge research, and leadership development.

Start-up’s present scenario Evaluation Approach

  • The purpose of conducting an evaluation is to gain an independent understanding of a startup’s project performance, impacts, and value for money, explore the mechanisms through which these impacts have been achieved, and generate insight into which delivery approaches work and why. This included reviewing best practices, challenges experienced during the delivery, and lessons learned along the way.
  • The evaluation is structured around the following topics:
  • Team Evaluation: The team is an integral part of a business. Points covered are Founder's & Co-Founder's profile and past experiences, their team, problem-solving techniques followed, and Recruitment management.
  • Market Potential: Valuation of revenue for the product or service provided, Type of business/ market is the startup in, Market Size, Targeted Customer Segment, Problems facing, market failure rationale, and continued relevance considering changes to the strategic and economic context.
  • Growth & Traction: Position in the overall market, Timeline, and milestones to date - Growth metrics & Plans, Customer success stories, Validations and/or testimonials
  • Impact Potential: Large| Restricted | Small | Zero impact - (Impact need not be necessarily a social one)
  • Product: Product Development Stage, Product’s design and development and assess the product’s need
  • Exposure Session : Exposure Session with Founders who were part of Global Accelerators Competitors Analysis, Industry Mapping, Market Sizing
  • Training Session : Setting up the Vision: Goals and Miles Stone Setting
  • One-on-One Expert Mentoring : Founders outlined the top technical challenges for their startup, and they are then paired with relevant experts from both CIIC and the industry to solve those challenges and grow their business.
